When thor called his hammer, Frigga said "It can take a while" meaning Frigga, as his mother, knew he was always worthy and always believed in him. I think that was a large part in Thor's recovery and that made thor realize that he should fight.

I think the “your dad loved cheeseburgers” line had to do with the first Iron Man - when Tony returned from the desert, the first thing he did was ask to get a cheeseburger

8 maanden geleden
Nuredin Geziqi
Nuredin Geziqi

@HattTheSweetPotatoCat It's actually much more likely that it actually was the drugs that made that burger that horrible and that it was the fact that he could even enjoy such a simple, good tasting (but shit in every other way) fast food burger that made him "snap". Not even something as simple as a fast food tasted like anything. Oh and one thing, Robert Downey Jr as far as I know actually loves indeed Burger King and is a pretty loyal customer to this day apparently, and he very willingly uses the VIP card the company gave him with which he can buy anything he wants for free You are most probably wrong in that interpretation of the story, even simply by the fact that apparently one of his favourite foods is an American Cheeseburger

17 dagen geleden
ConnorTheGamer5

@HattTheSweetPotatoCat if he doesn't like burger king why would he get one of their burgers the obvious implication was that he usually likes burgers, including burger kings, but when the burger tasted disgusting he realised something was seriously off if he doesn't like burger king burgers anyway why tf would he notice when they taste bad

18 dagen geleden
plankbuh plmoknijbuh

@HattTheSweetPotatoCat its the implications that matter, try critical thinking, and the connotation behind Tony Stark's love for cheeseburger does support the idea that the burgers tasted horrible due to the drugs which is why he quit.

7:47 Apparently it was actually Hemsworth's idea to have Thor not revert back to his former, shredded self in this scene, which was the original plan, don't know if it was just because he found wearing the fat-suit funny or because he really wanted to do a realistic portrayal of substance abuse/depression, but I feel like it's worth a mention, even if this video is nearly a year and a half old.

I want to praise Lexi Rabe in that ending funeral scene. I lost my dad suddenly when I was six. And the sorrow, confusion and fear that a small child goes through when she's lost a parent is perfectly portrayed on her face. Even the way she hangs onto her mother for dear life. I wouldn't even let my mom go the bathroom alone for a while after that because I was afraid she'd go away too. So her performance was perfect in that scene.

Considering Natasha grew up in the Red Room which we know from Agent Carter encouraged rivalry and discouraged genuine friendship between the girls, it's genuinely beautiful to see a moment of women fighting together as a tribute to her character. Like, she went from growing up in a place that actively encourage little girls to murder each other - again, Agent Carter - to being the one to inspire a group of women to work as a team.

When I was a little girl I didn’t want to tell anyone I liked Marvel. Not because I thought they’re was anything wrong with it, but because I didn’t want to be the “weird one”. I didn’t want to be the one tomboy that liked superheroes, because in our culture you’re either a girly-girl or a tomboy with no in between for some reason? Anyway, as someone who dealt with that as a child, seeing the woman team-up was awesome. It’s cheesy, sure. But I don’t care. The whole battle is cheesy

I think you’re over analyzing it. It’s just a girl power moment to be a girl power moment. Most of the MCU’s heroes have been men, and Endgame, being the “last” movie where everyone is there for 1 last time to avenge everyone who’s been snapped, the directors had to have something in there specifically for the women.

I also love how powerful tony became. I honestly think his mark 75 stands a chance against Thor and captain marvel. It’s a stretch but his suit could destroy the battlefield with one small blast plus for as short of a time as possible his suit could hold the five infinity stones and I know for a fact that if Tony needed to make a suit that could beat captain marvel or Thor, he could. That’s what’s so cool about him his power is unlimited if he sees a problem he fixes it.

The amount of emotions in the epic Avengers war can not be explained. I cried. I smiled. I laughed. That scene is and still is the best MCU moment of all time to me. And the Avengers Assemble line gives me chills too and can not be matched by many other lines. Even the all female Avengers doing their thing is an insane moment in it too when you get into the story. And the sacrifice of Tony and his death is always something that’s gonna put tears in my eyes. No other heroes death brought me down than his after getting through his story and how much character growth went on through movie through movie. Even his final line to his daughter, “I love you 3000.” Is also what gets me hard. This movie is so amazing that it deserves more and more love and remembrance of how amazing it is and the cast proved that. Also, I think that would've been ironic since he seemed very tired of the line when Cap from the past said it and he was like "I know, I know". Maybe because he's not like that anymore, remember the last time he said it was almost at the ending of Civil War, and between that and Endgame Cap has changed a lot. To be honest it would've been pretty awkward to say the quote when everybody is ready to fight because it's kind of his personal catchphrase. Another thing about Tony hugging Peter, was in Homecoming when he was reaching for the car door and it was mistaken for a hug, he says "We're not there yet". They are in this movie!

I always thought Strange's hand was more of a continuity thing than a "concentrating on other magic" thing. It's a lot more powerful when you remember that this guy was incredibly wealthy and incredibly respected, only to get into a car crash that breaks both hands, with each attempt to fix them making things increasingly worse and leaving him barely able to afford a one-way ticket to Nepal. His hand quivering isn't because he's focused on holding the water back, it's because that hand is still irrevocably damaged.

This reminded of the moment in Iron Man when Yinsen said: “This could power a heart for 50 lifetimes.” after which Tony said: “Or something big for 5 minutes.” Those 5 minutes were used to power the suit to hold the Infinity Stones

Three things: first, love the content and attention to detail. Second: I would have pointed out an additional win by banner hulk tossing the bench in distress and anger over nat’s death due to his whole attachment and overall emotions taking him at the moment. It is a more common reaction than most realize that the impulse of our anger and frustration cause us to react in a more physical manner to ventilate the emotional overload. Third: the hulk saving banner likely is closer to the comics than most think or realize. Deep down, the hulk truly cares and cherishes his relation ship with Bruce. To a point I. The comics, hulk is prepared to even sacrifice himself for banner in order to make sure that he can keep safe the person who means the most to him.

I cannot begin to explain how much I loved the audience I was watching this with. Everyone had jackets of the quantum suits, pretty sure three people had brought in their own handmade infinity gauntlets, not to mention the _energy_ in the theatre. Half of us went wild as Cap got the hammer and then everyone came together in such a high energy chorus of cheers when the portals opened to reveal the snapped.

@Kob If you're going to evangelize, perhaps do it on a video that isn't praising a film where two of the major protagonists are ex-assasins, the (arguably) main character is an arms dealer, alcoholic and playboy, but still hero-ized, and one of the major plot points is a human sacrifice. Just go back to your Rend Collective playlist already.

Endgame had tons of callbacks to previous MCU films, both obvious and subtle. One of my favorites was that moment with Hope and Scott where Cap gives orders to them and she's like, "Got it, Cap!" , then gives Scott a smile. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scott claimed Steve lets everyone call him Cap, which Hope brushed off. And in Endgame...she called him Cap.

2 jaar geleden

@Cameron h he's referring to one of the first interactions Tony and Thor have, where Thor tries to electocute him and all it does is increase Tonys suits power. The fact that he integrated an aspect like that into his suit, shows that he's been thinking about it over the years and also continuity.

The one thing that really puts Wins a cut above for me is the well thought out conclusions. “Sin” style videos are a dime a dozen now, whether they’re “sins”, “wins” or other random observations in a bite-sized rapid-fire format. But hearin the guy’s little mini-review conclusion at the end tie all the disjointed wins together elevates the whole concept for me. I would watch this guy make normal-style reviews, because I’m THAT interested in his opinion. I’m not a Jeremy hater, and I actually don’t mind CinemaSins, but what does that series tell me about Jeremy’s movie knowledge other than “he’s very observant when it comes to minor continuity errors, and he has a lot of running jokes”.
